02 Nov Nominate now for TASS 2017
TASS is a multi-faceted experience; students live together for six weeks at one of our two program campuses. They attend college-level seminars in topics pertaining to critical Black and ethnic studies and participate in activities to further their knowledge in the classroom. Students create a close-knit intellectual and social community that is built on a love of learning, broadening perspectives, and sharing new ideas.
We’re looking for intellectually curious and motivated 10th graders to apply to our free six-week program, co-sponsored by Cornell University and the University of Michigan. We’re interested in recruiting students who excel by traditional means and who also shine through in other unique community-oriented ways. Our application is centered around students’ personal essays on a variety of topics. This process helps us find exceptional participants from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances, from all over the country.
To nominate, simply send us the names and e-mail addresses of students who will complete their sophomore year of high school this spring and would benefit from this special learning opportunity. Nominations will be accepted until Thursday, December 1. Don’t forget to let your students know that you have nominated them to apply! They’ll receive e-mail communication from us regarding the program and tips to complete their applications.
